Your Assets, Securely Vaulted.
At RetailBets, every digital token is backed by a physical reality. Before a single token is minted on the Polygon network, the underlying shares are purchased directly from the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX).
These shares are held in electronic form within the Central Securities Depository (CSD) system and secured by an independent, regulated 3rd-party custodian. This ensures that the assets exist independently of our trading platform, providing you with institutional-grade security.
The Tokenization Process: From the Exchange to your Wallet.
We use a Proof-of-Reserve model to ensure your digital ownership always matches the vault’s holdings.
Step 1: Acquisition
RetailBets acquires shares from the VFEX through traditional stock brokers.
Step 2: Custody
Shares are placed into the security of a 3rd-party custodian.
Step 3: Minting
An equivalent number of ERC-20 tokens are minted on the Polygon Blockchain.
Step 4: Distribution
These tokens are made available on the RetailBets market for fractional or full purchase.
Step 5: Trading
Whitelisted addresses can own, buy/sell on our virtual assets market and transfer tokens.

How do the tokens track value?
Our tokenized assets transfer economic rights to you and are designed to track the live market price of the underlying shares on the VFEX. While our market features an open order book (allowing users to set their own buy and sell prices), we have implemented sophisticated Price-Tracker mechanisms. These ensure that the liquidity on our platform reflects the true value of the shares on the traditional exchange, giving you the most accurate trading experience 24/7.
The Benefits of Tokenization
Fractional Ownership
Buy 0.1 or 0.01 of a Simbisa Brands share. High-priced stocks are now accessible to everyone.
Instant Settlement
In the traditional system, it takes 2 days (T+2) for a trade to settle. On RetailBets, settlement happens in seconds.
24/7 Liquidity
The virtual assets market is always open. You don’t have to wait for Monday morning to manage your portfolio.
Transparent History
Every mint, burn, and transfer is recorded on the public Polygon ledger for anyone to audit.
